There have been some changes in the coaching staff this year as the Junior Varsity coach, Colin Murphy, has decided to coach the boys varsity team at Ashland High School. The varsity assistant coach Josh Coran decided to fill that role of the JV coach. This leaves Andrew Ferguson as a solo head coach this year.

Junior Alec Filipkowski says, “The goal this season is to win 10 games and make the playoffs”.
“We need to improve team chemistry and build positive relationships with each other,” Filipkowski added.
Senior point guard Greg Persad had the same thing to say about the team’s goals, “The goal this year is to win at least 10 games.”
“This year we have to play as a team and become a better defensive team than we were last year” Persad later added.

When on the topic of ways to improve from last season, Kane says, “We need to play together as a unit. We are a tight-knit group who are all working for the same goal. If we play as a team and to our maximum potential, it will show and bring success to the program”.
The players are all in agreement as they strive for the playoffs this year and hope to win at least 10 games this season.
The boys faceoff Friday December 14, at Milford high school. The team lost both games to Milford last year. Hopefully they can pull off an upset and start the season undefeated.
